Sabic has introduced Vestolen A Rely, a range of HDPE grades for typical pressure pipes, claimed to offer considerable energy savings through the production cycle.
Two grades are currently available, both of which are suitable for producing pressure pipe compliant with the PE 100 standard. Vestolen A Rely 5924R offers low sag performance for large-diameter pipes and pressure pipes with a low standard dimension ratio.
Vestolen A Rely 5922R is designed to meet the slow crack growth requirements specified by PAS (Publicly Accessible Standard) 1075, making it suitable for trenchless installation including guided boring and horizontal directional drilling.
The two grades are only available in black. Sabic is developing two coloured grades, both with enhanced resistance to slow growth propagation, for launch in 2013.
