By threading the nozzles directly into the hot runner manifold, a new hot runner nozzle offers a leak-proof design without critical stack-up dimensions that must be maintained. The 09E nozzle, for use with Synventive Molding Solutions' line of 'Plug 'n Play' unitized hot runner systems, has thermal- and valve-gate options, including a 9-mm internal flow bore, with 30-mm mold cut-out. Synventive says the nozzle is ideal for medium-sized part applications with maximum shot weights of 250g per nozzle. Externally heated by integrated, replaceable thermocouples, the nozzles lengths range from 60-400 mm.
The 09E is the latest addition to the Synventive 'Plug 'n Play' hot runner system product line, which are fully pre-assembled, tested, and shipped ready to install in the mold, greatly reducing the amount of time spent assembling, adjusting, and mounting the hot runner system. Potential applications can be found in the automotive, premium consumer and electronic markets.
